This was previously called the Holy Anointing Oil.
God gave Moses the instruction and recipe for the making of an anointing ail. It contained myrrh, cinnamon, calamus and cassia in a base of olive oil. It was to be used in the tabernacle only for the purposes for which God had intended it for, and only by those in the priestly office (Exo.30:22-25). Since Jesus had died and the veil was torn, we as believer’s now are part of the Royal Priesthood, if we have submitted to Him as Lord (1Pet.2:5,9), So we have the right to use this oil for the purpose of declaring the person or the article that is being anointed, as holy and set apart for God’s intended purpose.
