Oil of Joy Anointing Oil

Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy. Therefore His garments smelled of this oil, which contained the fragrances of myrrh, aloes and cassia (Ps.45 & Heb. 1:8-9). But in the midst of the circumstances that He went through, He endured it for the joy that was set before Him (Heb.12:2).

Because His anointing is in us, we can thus be anointed with the oil of joy, and experience this anointing in the midst of challenging circumstances (2Cor.1:21-22).
